What will my JCAP experience include?

"If you're looking for a challenge ... you've found it!  JCAP is an exciting, four-day, first-hand experience with the Aggie Corps at
Texas A&M University.  JCAP was designed primarily to attract and recruit outstanding high school JROTC and CAP cadets.

JCAP will challenge you both mentally and physically.  JCAP is not for the meek, sick, injured or weak at heart ... at JCAP you will get yelled at; our cadets mentors are intimidating and they will instruct you to do push-ups.

Ultimately, our goal is to accomplish more than yelling and push-ups.  Our primary objective is to peek your interest in the Corps of Cadets at Texas A&M; expose you to commissioning opportunities; help you to secure valuable scholarships and walk you through the Texas A&M admissions process.

We encourage you to invite your parents to attend JCAP with you ... They'll be amazed by the campus and very proud of your decision to apply to Texas A&M.  As part of the parents program, we'll invite representatives from the Admissions Office, Financial Aid and Scholarships Office to present their respective material and answer questions about the cost to attend Texas A&M and admissions process.

Getting selected to attend JCAP will not be easy, you'll have to meet our
academic requirements and desire more than a weekend get-away.  If you meet our selection requirements, and you're up for a challenge -- JCAP will not disappoint you!
